Celebrity Astrology Story of the Week (September 16 2012) - Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively

Celebrity Astrology Story of the Week (September 16, 2012)
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively

Ryan Rodney Reynolds met his brand new wife Blake Lively on the set of the Green Lantern where she reportedly brought homemade cupcakes to worm her way into his heart. It was obviously a good move that scored high with Ryan, a Scorpio born October 23.

You may be surprised to hear that Scorpio is really a domesticated man at heart, despite his rogue reputation. He loves homecooked meals and a well-kept house, and will perform those functions himself if there's no one around to help.

Blake Lively who recently celebrated her birthday on August 25 is a Virgo. She's a decade younger than he is; it's common for the Scorpio man, who's rarely tame enough for a real relationship before his mid-thirties (although he inevitably tries!) to choose a younger mate. Blake was born near the cusp of Leo, which may explain the lovely long tresses that are her trademark.

Scorpio can be a hellraiser - a little or a whole lot. The more productive of the sign tame that constant impulse for pushing the envelope into their work and often adopt a (reasonably) conventional lifestyle, at least on the outside...

He's attracted to Virgo's classic good looks and fine, intelligent mind. Virgo, on the other hand, who can tend to be too dispassionate and even cynical, will find in passionate Scorpio just the right chemistry to heat up her life both in and out of bed.

Virgo tends to live on the Spartan side, if anything, while Scorpio is all about excess. That may sound like a recipe for disaster but they may just be what the other needs. For Virgo, Scorpio can be the key to opening her own Pandora's box of passion - the one she keeps hidden under wraps and layers of self discipline and control. All of it admirable, but not so much fun.

Virgo's natural class and elegance, on the other hand, can serve to temper Scorpio's wilder instincts and give him yet another good reason to curb that envelope pushing behaviour.

Best wishes to the newlyweds!

Celebrity Astrology Story of the Week (August 12 2012) - Rihanna & Chris Brown

Celebrity Astrology Story of the Week (August 12, 2012)
Rihanna and Chris Brown

Rihanna made headlines this week by talking about an "old" story about her turbulent romance with Chris Brown on Oprah's show. It's probably not a coincidence that Pisces and Taurus keep grabbing the celebrity headlines this summer and coming up in the weekly celebrity astrology story. This time, they show up together in this former and - if any of the rumours are true - still occasional coupling.

Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born February 20 as a Pisces and she seems to be one of the slippery variety of Fish sisters. Pisces is an emotional sign and will either be overtly sentimental or shy away from emotions in general and real commitments in particular. It seems easier to enjoy the company of the many men who are attracted to these beautiful women. The fact they exude the kind of girly appeal that we associate with traditional versions of femininity doesn't hurt. Still, swimming away from your emotions seldom works 100%, and her tears during the Oprah interview are evidence of that.

Chris Brown was born May 5 -  a Taurus. Taurus is also an emotional sign, but in him any idea of superficiality or shying away from those emotions is just about impossible. He's a true romantic, but the truth of it is that he's also a bit of a caveman at heart - and sometimes more than a bit! While he's popular with the ladies, he's also what previous generations called a 'man's man'. Every sign has both positive and negative possibilities and juggling the hand that's been given to you is your's life's work in a nutshell. For the male Taurus, the big question is, what does he do with that ultra-male part of him - and for our purposes, how does he handle his relationships with women?

In its most positive expression, that macho, semi-caveman Taurus becomes the chivalrous lover, his masculine instincts channeled into behaviour that's protective and solicitous - the kind of guy who will always open doors and carry heavy bags for his lady love even as he deeply respects her. With negative influences, be they in his chart or in his environment, Taurus can be outright domineering and something of a bully.

Rihanna is the epitome of that sexy Piscean ultra-woman; Taurus is all boy and has few defenses against her kind of appeal. It's a very natural sexual pairing of ultra-feminine and ultra-masculine vibes so it's not hard to see why the rumours continue to linger on about this once upon a time couple, or why she'd consider working with him even after his assault. She knows his temper, but she also knows there's more to him than that. Hopefully, he's learning how to direct that male aggression of his to productive and positive uses.
