With the Oscars coming up and Argo a favourite for Best Picture, I thought I'd check out longtime celeb couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.

Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt was born August 15 - a Leo. Jennifer Anne Garner celebrates her birthday on April 17 as an Aries. The union of the Lion and the Ram is a power couple extraordinaire.

Jennifer sounds like a typical Aries lady - girly on the outside, steel on the inside, with an athletic background as a dancer before she became an actress. She's the kind of lady who looks equally good in an evening gown as she does in sweats with a natural flair. Nothing artificial about your average Aries.

Leo is a mover and shaker and a natural leader. The Lion looks for substance in his mate and finds it in Aries. They're both Fire signs, so they'll be compatible in terms of energy levels and lifestyle choices. They're also hard workers.

This is a bold pairing - not for the fainthearted, but then no one has ever accused Leo or Aries of that. Leo can have a huge ego and a big personality but the Ram is more than strong enough to hold her own. The issues that might come up with Leo and Aries probably relate to their respective egos. Leo needs constant approval and Aries isn't the type to cater to anyone's vanity, but it's a pairing that works really well when they're balanced.They can bring out the best in each other.

J.Lo and dancer Casper Smart have been an item since not long after the break up of her marriage. They've been puppy shopping lately and as everyone knows, doggies are a prelude to a cozier relationship.

Jennifer Lynn Lopez was born on July 24, a Leo on the cusp with Cancer. That means that emotional, sideways scrabbling Cancer may soften Leo's scene stealing tendencies and add up and down moods to the usually sunny Leo disposition.

Casper Smart celebrates his birthday April 6 - an Aries. The male of the Aries tribe is all boy, a force of nature who goes directly for what he wants. Strong women are no issue to a Ram, a man who's absolutely sure of his own mettle.

Ego may be the area where these two signs clash. The Lioness is firmly convinced of her own fabulousness - but she needs to know that her partner is too. It's an ego that requires care and feeding, and the Ram is known to be thoughtless/not known for his solicitous nature. He's more apt to be blunt and lay his version of 'truth' on you without a lot of editing.

Incidentally, ex-hubby Marco Antonio Muñiz, aka Marc Anthony was born September 16, a Virgo. Virgo is another sign who is attracted to strong women, but hardheaded Virgo is less likely to have patience for Leo's constant yearning for the spotlight. Aries is a Fire Sign, like Leo, so he understands the bluster, the ambition. He'll have an upbeat, unstoppable energy that she'll find hard to resist and a straight on appeal. Even younger than she as he is, he may be the one who is a match for her ego-wise. There may be tussles but he's not likely to feel threatened by her no matter how successful she is.

It may prove a bit of a rollercoaster ride at times but both of these signs are also likely to thrive on the high drama.
